We believe that a strong democracy depends on an informed electorate that understands its rights, embraces its civic responsibilities, and participates meaningfully in shaping the nation’s future.

Our purpose

Information that supports meaningful participation

Our voter education mandate extends across Nigeria’s 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and all 774 Local Government Areas. Through community engagement and public awareness campaigns, we seek to make electoral information accessible to citizens from every background. Our programmes teach voters about electoral processes, the importance of their votes, and their role in promoting peaceful, credible, and inclusive elections.

At CLAI, we mobilize eligible citizens to fulfil their civic responsibilities by participating actively in elections. We work to address voter apathy by helping people understand the connection between electoral participation, accountable leadership, and community development. Through sustained enlightenment and outreach, we encourage citizens to see voting as a meaningful opportunity to influence decisions that affect their everyday lives.
